LAKE SIBAYA – 20 KM:

 Lake Sibaya is the perfect spot for a private barbecue and to watch hippos and crocodiles, an iconic sunset over southern Africa's largest fresh water lake.  Sibaya means Kraal that holds in the sea cows.

MABIBI BEACH – 30 KM:

Situated in the iSimangeliso Wetland Park, 9 mile beach is accessible by 4x4 only.

Enjoy a South African braai of Boereworst Rolls and non alcoholic beverages under the shade of the beautiful casuarina forest

9 MILE BEACH – 25 KM:

Situated in the iSimangeliso Wetland Park, Mabibi is a large, immaculate and untouched beach, surrounded by a jungle of greenery. The water is warm and popular activities are scuba diving as well as snorkelling.

SUNDOWNERS AT MNGOBOSILENI

MNGOBOSILENI is a popular spot with the locals to watch the sunset.  From this viewpoint you can see the Indian Ocean behind the lake and watch the sunset over the rural African landscape

KOSI BAY LAKES – FULL DAY TOUR

90kms (10 hours) - Includes packed lunch and snorkel gear

Transfer to Kosi Bay and depart from the jetty at 0900 for a full day cruising the 3 lakes looking at fish traps, hippos and mangroves.  Time will be spent snorkelling in the crystal clear water.  There are various secluded spots to stop for a packed lunch on the way to the mooring at Banga Nek. After a delicious packed lunch we take a short walk over the forested dune to the beach and spend an hour or two swimming in the bay or exploring the rocky point and dune forest. After everyone has had their fill of sun, sea and sand we walk back to the boat and cross over 3rd lake to our mooring at the Parks Board launch site, usually by around 5pm.

KOSI BAY LAKES - HALF DAY TOUR

Transfer to Kosi Bay and depart from the jetty at 0900 for a half day cruising the 3 lakes looking at fish traps, hippos and mangroves.  Time will be spend snorkelling in the crystal clear water.       

MKUZE GAME RESERVE - 70KM - (10 HOURS):

 

40 000 hectare Game Reserve world renowned for its birding possibilities. Mkuze Game Reserve offers some incredible game viewing while within the reserve however it is the Birding that makes this game reserve so unique. Various animal species that may be found in the Mkuze Reserve include White and Black Rhino, Leopard, Elephant, Giraffe, Nyala, Wildebeest and much more. Rare species include Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyenas.

magnificent canopy of giant sycamore figs, the oldest of which is estimated at 450 years old and up into the canopies on walkways to get a birds eye view.   The silence of the forest is broken by a multitude of bird calls typified by the wail of Trumpeter Hornbills, while special sightings have included the Pels Fishing Owl, the African Broadbill and the Blue Mantled Flycatcher.

 

HLUHLUWE GAME PARK

 

1,500 white rhino and 360 black rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion and leopard, blue wildebeest, zebra, giraffe water-buck, nyala, kudu, bushbuck, warthog, cheetah, hyena and 23,000 impala and 300 species of birds have been recorded. With 96000 hectares to explore we travel within the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa. The reserve world renowned for its conservation of Black and White Rhino.

 

CROCODILE AND REPTILE PARK AT HLUHLUWE AND TRADITIONAL ZULU VILLAGE - 70KM:

Zulu Croc offers crocodile and snake experience. It is bringing these fascination creatures up close and personal and allowing you to actually feel and touch some of the world´s most feared reptiles.  Join a morning show at the croc farm.

Unique big game viewing from the water on Jozini Dam.  The big four can be spotted if you are lucky on the shores of the lake.

Lake Jozini sprawls itself across the Maputuland in Kwazulu Natal at the foot of the Lebombo mountain ranges. Built as a dam in 1972 to be used as a holding reservoir for the water desperately needed to irrigate the surrounding areas, the dam has become a popular destination for angling enthusiasts in search of the ultimate freshwater fishing experience.
